RECIPE: MAPLE SYRUP COOKIES
SHOPPING LIST:
½ cup melted butter
½ cup maple syrup
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup chopped walnuts
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
TOOLS:
Medium bowl & spoon
Cookie sheet pan
Parchment paper
WHAT TO DO:
Mix the butter, syrup, egg, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in another.
Add both mixes together and fold in the walnuts.
Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper and spoon out balls of cookie dough across the pan.
Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees or until the edges are slightly brown.
Let them cool on a tray for 15 minutes before serving. That way, the cookies harden while the inside stays gooey.
